Dr. Yi Xiao is a full professor of the top-notch School of Design at Hunan University. He is also the Director of the Digital Culture Innovation Lab. He received Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Mathematics from Sichuan University in 2005 and 2008, and PhD. degree in Electronic Engineering from City University of Hong Kong in 2012. He was also a visiting scholar at the University of Utah from 2019 to 2020.

His research interests include computer graphics, computer vision, machine learning, human-computer interaction, and intelligent design. He has led and participated in several important scientific research projects that have been well funded by various federal agencies. He has published more than 30 papers in TVCG, TNNLS, TMM, ICCV, and other international journals and conferences.

Professor Yi Xiao recruits graduate students, doctoral students, research assistants, and post-doctoral fellows who have a background in computer science or industrial design and have a strong interest in machine learning, computer graphics, computer vision, industrial design, and game design & development.
