      智能装备、智慧家居与出行已成为设计新前沿。本期开放论坛我们聚焦人与各种自主系统的新关系,从无人汽车到智能音箱,其将深刻地重新定义交互范式与未来用户体验。我们有幸邀请到来自美国和中国等五位研究者与实践者,来分享他们各自对于AI、智能机器与人智能体交互的思考与实践。我们希望将其组织成一种更紧凑和专注的交流方式,每人先分享一个简短的学术汇报以表达自己的观点,然后一起进入圆桌讨论。我们希望这次对话能为此刻的我们带来一些思考。欢迎所有同学、教育者和业界朋友们参加。 

      AI enabled equipment, smart home and intelligent transportation have been the new frontiers for the design world. In this seminar, we focus on the new relationship between human and autonomy systems, from vehicles to speakers, which will significantly re-define the interaction paradigm and future user experience. It is our honor to invite five researchers and practitioners from USA and China to share their perspectives. We would like to organize it in a more compact but dedicated way that each people will have a short presentation, then following with a concrete panel discussion. We hope the conversation could bring us some food for thought at this point. Welcome all students, educators and friends from industries to join us.

      江峰先生现为微软亚洲研究院战略合作总监。自2015年以来,他作为微软亚洲研究院创新汇创始人,负责微软亚洲研究院的对外合作。江峰先生曾与微软在金融、制造、健康、教育、物流、零售等不同领域的合作伙伴一起,深度探索行业垂直领域中AI赋能的数字化转型工作。在加入微软亚洲研究院之前,江峰先生曾是微软智慧物联部门高级商务拓展经理,负责大中华地区的合作伙伴关系。江峰先生曾任诺基亚产品创新中心高级产品项目经理和诺基亚深圳研究中心研发经理,具有丰富的软硬件开发经验。

      Mr. Fred Jiang is currently the Outreach Director at Microsoft Research Asia. As the founder of Innovation Partnership Program (MSRAIP 创新汇) in MSRA, he has been responsible for MSRA external partnership and promoted the establishment of MSRA Innovation Partnership Program since he joined Microsoft Research Asia in 2015. Mr. Fred Jiang has been deeply involved in AI-enabled digital transformation with industry partners in different domains, including financial, manufacturing, healthcare, education, logistics, retail, etc. Prior to joining Microsoft Research Asia, Mr. Fred Jiang was the Business Development Manager for Microsoft Smart Things, where he was responsible for partnerships with companies in Greater China. Mr. Fred Jiang has extensive practical experience in software and hardware development in Nokia. He has served as senior product program manager in Nokia product innovation center and as R&D manager in Nokia Research Center - Shenzhen.

      Karen Feigh教授现任美国佐治亚理工学院丹尼尔.古根海姆航天航空工程系研究副主任。她拥有佐治亚理工航天航空工程学士,英国克莱菲尔德大学航空学硕士及佐治亚理工工业与系统工程博士学位,曾任佐治亚理工航天航空人因与认知工程研究中心主任。Feigh教授专注于快速空中交通仿真,人与自主驾驶系统心智共担模型方面研究,开展多项智能航线规划与远程控制中心中以人为中的人类学研究与实验,并对该领域人机回环概念理论做出基础性理论贡献。

      Karen Feigh is a professor at Georgia Tech's Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering. She holds a B.S. in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech, an MPhil in aeronautics from Cranfield University, UK, and a Ph.D. in industrial and systems engineering from Georgia Tech. Dr. Feigh has previously worked on fast-time air traffic simulation, conducted ethnographic studies of airline and fractional ownership operation control centers, and designed expert systems for air traffic control towers and NextGen concepts. She is also experienced in conducting human-in-the-loop experiments for concept validation.

      杜宜伦教授的研究立足人、设计与技术的交叉。她专注于设计计算性工具,尤其是草图生成、创造力与设计认知,包括创造力辅助工具与设计研究、有形与嵌入式交互,以及健康与医疗方面的计算。她拥有佐治亚理工设计计算博士学位,哈佛大学设计学院设计研究硕士和中国台湾成功大学学士,曾受聘于华盛顿大学、卡内基梅隆大学和佐治亚理工学院。2013至2016年,杜宜伦教授曾任新加坡国立大学与日本庆应大学CUTE联合研究中心联席主任,致力于具身性互联普适计算技术。

      Ellen Yi-Luen Do (Professor, ATLAS Institute & Computer Science) invents at the intersections of people, design and technology. She works on computational tools for design, especially sketching, creativity and design cognition, including creativity support tools and design studies, tangible and embedded interaction and, most recently, computing for health and wellness. She holds a PhD in Design Computing from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Design Studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a bachelor's degree from National Cheng Kung University. She has served on the faculties of University of Washington, Carnegie Mellon University and Georgia Institute of Technology. From 2013 to 2016, she co-directed the Keio-NUS CUTE Center in Singapore, a research unit investigating Connected Ubiquitous Technology for Embodiments.

Cheryl Zhenyu Qian

      Zhenyu Qian博士现任美国普渡大学交互设计与工业设计教授,拥有中国东南大学建筑学学士,加拿大西蒙弗雷泽大学交互艺术与技术硕士和博士学位。作为一个跨界学者,钱博士的研究兴趣在于对认知系统的研究与开发以丰富设计知识,通过跨学科的研究方法改善设计质量,采用创新技术提升用户体验。她目前的研究专注于1)用户体验设计中物理与虚拟交互的和谐集成,2)采用交互设计理论、工具和评价手段去评估、比较、指导和增强产品设计结果,以及3)在视觉可视化分析领域运用创新性设计思维。 

      Dr. Cheryl Zhenyu Qian is a full professor of Interaction Design in Industrial Design at Purdue University. She received a B.Arch. from Southeast University in China, M.A.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees of Interactive Arts and Technology from Simon Fraser University in Canada. Being a boundary crosser, Dr. Qian is interested in studying and developing cognitive systems to enrich knowledge, employing interdisciplinary research methodologies to improve the design quality, and adopting innovative technologies to accommodate user experience. Her current research is focused on 1) the harmonious integration of physical and virtual interactions in the user experience design, 2) adopting interaction design theories, tools, and evaluation methods to review, compare, guide, and enhance product design outcomes, and 3) employing innovative design thinking into the domain of visual analytics..

      王巍博士现为湖南大学教授,博士生导师,岳麓学者,曾志锋青年基金礼聘教授。兼任美国佐治亚理工学院设计学博士生客座导师、密歇根大学工业工程博士导师委员会成员,英国伦敦大学玛丽女王学院媒体与艺术技术客座教授,北京太火红鸟科技有限公司设计总监等。曾工作于诺基亚(中国)研究院、湖南大学、伦敦大学玛丽女王学院、佐治亚理工学院等。因学术成果获佐治亚理工学院与英国石油公司联合资助青年教授学术杰出奖、伦敦大学玛丽女王学院共创与企业奖、诺基亚年度全球成就奖、中国机械工业科学技术奖等。

      As the Yuelu Scholar and Z.F Zeng Endowed Professor in the School of Design, Dr. Wei Wang brings industrial and international experience to Hunan University. His research focuses on smart product design from the user experience and emerging consumer technology. Wang's design, research, and teaching have won multiple international awards, including the Annual Engagement and Enterprise Award from Queen Mary University of London, Annual Achievement Awards from Nokia, the Science and Technology Award of China Mechanical Industry, the Class 1969 Teaching Fellow in Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech/BP Junior Faculty Award and Michelin Challenge Design Award in a worldwide competition. Wang previously worked in Nokia Research Center, Queen Mary University of London, and Georgia Institute of Technology before he joined Hunan University.
