Dr. Aguinaldo dos Santos, is a full professor at the Design Department at Paraná Federal University (UFPR); coordinator of the Design Post-graduate Program at UFPR) and Head of the Design & Sustainability Research Center (since 2003). Previously at UFPR he has been a lecturer at the Civil Construction Post-graduate Program (2000–2011), lecturer at the Mechanical Engineering Post-graduate Program (2004 – 2007) and Technology Transfer Coordinator at UFPR Innovation Agency (2011).
His current research focuses on issues around Design for Sustainability, such as Product-Service Systems, Design for Sustainable Behaviour, Vernacular Design, Social Innovation and Green Economy and Non-Anthropocentric Design. He is the coordinator of LeNS Brazil (Learning Network on Sustainability. Poet on his free time, marathon runner; amateur numismatist and a native stingless beekeeper.
He has published until June/2022 a total of 62 journal papers, published 13 books, 158 conference papers. -
