Cosima Striepe is professor of Industrial Design at Pforzheim University, School of Design, Germany. Serving for concept design and VR, head of degree program, responsible for exchange programs. In this context, workshops with Hunan University, School of Design, Changsha, PR China since 2017.
As a product designer, Cosima Striepe is interested in possible creative forms of expression in industrial design that can be derived from digital sketches: Animations, 3D sketches, interactive and collaborative applications that can be desktop based or with head mounted displays. With the focus on improved and efficient product development, it is always about secure communication with all developers involved.
After studying Industrial Design at the HfBK Hamburg, Cosima Striepe initially worked in product design from the draft to production. She quickly developed a focus on the emerging techniques of virtual reality (VR). Digital and real photography, animations, interactive applications for car manufacturers and medical technology manufacturers, development of a virtual tree library with generative software, immersive museum installation. Research on the topic of ‘Interactive application for learning with and through movement’.
