Thomas Walter Garvey

Thomas Walter Garvey博士,世界设计组织(World Design OrganizationWDO现任主席2023-Garvey教授专长于健康医学环境设计与复杂狭小空间下人因数据分析与人的活动研究,曾领导健康建筑全球大学项目(The Global University Programs in Healthcare ArchitectureGUPHA)研究工作,也是2014年国际工业设计联合会(ICSID)印度孟买国际设计合作项目(Interdesign Mumbai, Humanizing a Metropolis)的特聘专家。他的成果对从医院中的--环境系统设计到国际空间站的人活动空间优化设计均有贡献。他的研究受到加拿大工业、贸易与商务部、日本教育部以及Michael Kalil基金会的资助。

Dr. Thomas Walter Garvey is an associate professor at the School of Industrial Design, University of Carleton, Canada. He is the designate president of the World Design Organization (WDO) (2022-2023) . Professor Garvey specializes in the design of health medical environments and the study of data analysis of human factors and human activity in complex narrow spaces. He has led the Global University Program of Healthcare Architecture (GUPHA) and is also the Distinguished Expert of the international cooperative project Interdesign Mumbai, Humanizing a Metropolis (ICSID, 2014). His work has contributed to the design of everything from human-machine-environment systems in hospitals to space optimization for human activities on the International Space Station. His research was funded by the Canadian Ministry of Industry, Trade and Commerce, the Japanese Ministry of Education, and the Michael Kalil Foundation.
