Dr. Yonghong Liu, a special term professor, graduated from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2005 with a doctorate in engineering. He once served as executive vice president of the World Top 500 Enterprise Research Institute, and he is a member of the Communist Party of China, researcher-level senior engineer, young and middle-aged science and technology leader of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and subsidy expert of Hunan Provincial Government.
Main Performance
Liu presided over the key Project of the National 863 Program and three Projects of National Science and Technology Support Program. He participated in more than 10 national, provincial and ministerial-level science and technology projects, led the success of a remote monitoring and a maintenance application system, and actively carried out products’ full life cycle information closed-loop management and set a research example about service application. Liu organized the design and manufacture of "Jinxiu Xiaoxiang" parade floats, used in the 60th anniversary of the National Day, won the "Endeavour Award" and "Design and Manufacturing Innovation Award".
Liu has been awarded the "Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellow of Hunan Province", the 8th "Hunan Provincial Youth Science and Technology Award", and won the 13th China Patent Gold Award; won the 2nd National Technology Invention Award in 2012 (ranked 5th), and won the 2014 National Second Prize for Science and Technology Progress (ranked 9th). He has applied for 11 patents, including 5 invention patents, 4 utility model patents, 1 design patent, and 1 international patent. he published 16 academic papers in core journals, including 9 articles in EI.
At the same time to carry out technical research, a long-term commitment to science and technology to improve the management level of enterprises, as enterprise technical standard and patent, the construction of innovation platform responsible person. He was appraised as an advanced worker in the mechanical industry standardization work; an advanced worker in the national enterprise intellectual property management; the most influential figure in the intellectual property of Hunan Province during the ten years of WTO accession; the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award. He participated in the construction of the technology innovation platform which let him won the second prize of the 2010 National Science and Technology Progress Award.
