On December 27, 2018, the Hunan University-Alibaba Brand Day Activity was successfully held in the School of Design of Hunan University. More than 200 students from the School of Design as well as relevant principals, teachers and designers from Alibaba attended the activity.

In the morning of the Alibaba Brand Day Activity, professor He Renke, the dean of the School of Design, firstly delivered a speech: ‘I remember very clearly, on January 8 this year, our school held the first Hunan University-Alibaba Design Day Brand Activity, today is the second time to hold this activity. On behalf of the School of Design Hunan University, I would like to extend my welcome to our Ali design colleagues who are here today.’
Professor He Renke then reviewed the achievements of the School of Design in 2018, which won the first prize of National Teaching Achievement for the second time. There are two key words in this award-winning project, namely ‘digitalization’ and ‘internationalization’. Alibaba is a representative enterprise of internationalization and digitalization in China, so the cooperation between the two sides has a solid research foundation and common goal.
Professor He expressed his expectation of the closer cooperation of both sides. He said, ‘From the start of this semester, Ali all relevant departments will bring their needs and research results, to participate in the college undergraduate and postgraduate courses in succession to achieve the real combination of production, study and research. It will make the talents that universities cultivated really conform to the enterprises and the demand of the market. I wish this Hunan University-Alibaba Design Day a complete success!’
