On 3rd, December, Huawei Comsumer BG(CBG) Terminal Company held "Haina Baichuan-2018 Huawei Terminal University Technology Forum" in Shanghai R&D Base. Teacher from our college including Marcelo Soares, Zhang Jun, Wang Haining were invited to participate in the User Experience Sub-Forum. Professor Marcelo delivered a keynote speech at the forum entitled "HCI in the Mobile Technology in the Future".
Huawei CBG is one of the three core businesses of Huawei. Its products include mobile phones, personal computer and tablets, wearable devices, mobile broadcast terminals, home terminals and terminal clouds. CBG Terminal Company (Shanghai) is mainly responsible for the product development of Mate and P series, which are the flagship mobile phones of Huawei, user experience and interaction design research.
The summit meeting was organized by Huawei CBG Terminal Hardware Department, which includes 4 sub-forums: audio, simulation and user experience. Dozens of experts from universities and enterprises at home and abroad were invited to participate in the meeting, aiming at discussing the core technology business and key scenarios of Huawei terminal, enhancing mutual understanding and strengthening exchanges to achieve long-term cooperation. The teachers of our college were invited to attend the sun-forum of user experience. Apart from the teachers from our college, Liu Yongcheng, director of the user experience Department of Netease Thunder UX, Professor Rao Peilun, Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University, Professor Han Ting, School of Design, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Qian Xiuying, Department of Psychology, Zhejiang University, Dr. Yuan Xiaowei, Beijing Yihaer Interface Design Co., Ltd were also invited to attend the meeting. Focusing on the themes of game user experience design, multi-channel natural human-computer interaction, product innovation design, big data user portrait and so on, experts share and make suggestions on the core user experience of Huawei terminal, and have a warm and fruitful exchange with colleagues from various departments of Huawei terminal.
After the meeting, teachers of our college had a discussion and exchanges with colleagues of Huawei terminal departments. In the future, both sides will carry out more technical exploration and scientific research cooperation in the field of hardware user experience design.
