潘超，博士、博士后，现为湖南大学设计艺术学院助理教授。主要研究领域：艺术史、新美术馆学、视觉文化与设计史论。
清华大学人文与社会科学高等研究所“水木学者”博士后。清华大学美术学院博士，中央美术学院艺术学理论硕士，意大利博洛尼亚大学硕士交换生，中央美术学院美术学本科。
清华大学吴冠中艺术研究中心研究员，南京大学人文与社会科学高等研究院2025年度访问学者。截至2025年，主持中国博士后科学基金项目1项，主持中央高校基本科研经费项目1项。2023年入选清华大学高层次青年人才“水木学者”计划。曾出版专著：《江山之助：国家景观视野下西北视觉形象构筑（1931-1949）》（清华大学出版社，2024），曾发表独作学术期刊论文10余篇，发表独作学术会议论文10余篇。
PAN Chao, Ph.D., is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Design, Hunan University. Previously, he was a “Shuimu Postdoctoral fellow” at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, Tsinghua University. He received his Ph.D. from the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University; M.A. in Art Theory from the Central Academy of Fine Arts; was an exchange M.A. student at the University of Bologna, Italy; and earned his B.A. in Fine Arts from the Central Academy of Fine Arts.
He is also a Research Fellow at the Wu Guanzhong Art Research Center, Tsinghua University, and a Visiting Scholar (2025) at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, Nanjing University. As of 2025, he has directed one project funded by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and another supported by the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities. In 2023, he was selected for the Tsinghua University “Shuimu Scholar” program for outstanding young researchers.
His monograph The Gift of Jiangshan: Constructing the Visual Image of Northwest China through the Perspective of National Landscape (1931–1949) was published by Tsinghua University Press in 2024. He has authored more than ten peer-reviewed journal articles and over ten conference papers as the sole author. His main research interests include art history, new museology, visual culture, cultural heritage, and the history and theory of design.
