Course description
This course is an elective course for all majors in the school. It mainly consists of two parts: the regular script and the running handwriting of Chinese Brush Calligraphy . The content includes: an overview of the development history of Chinese calligraphy, the training of regular script, the training of running hand, and the appreciation of famous calligraphy works of all ages. Calligraphy art has important aesthetic functions and is one of the national quintessence of China. It has become an important basic course for cultivating talents and guides students to explore new visual language from the perspective of traditional culture. By studying the works of outstanding calligraphers of the past generations, we will strengthen the accomplishment of Chinese studies, continuously strengthen and enhance the ability of art appreciation, and apply the elements of calligraphy art to life and practice.
