Course description

This course is the core course of industrial design major. It takes the Form (DT3007) as the leading course and provides color cognition and application ability for the course learning of design major.

Color and styling are the elements of design, in which color occupies the most direct position. The research and analysis of color is a compulsory course to improve design ability and innovation ability, and is an important foundation of design discipline.The course mainly includes the color theory, the color concept, the color  observation methods and the expression form of color.Students need to understand the basic knowledge of color, understand the relationship between color and form, and master correct color observation methods and performance techniques.The course mainly allows students to understand the relationship between form and color through still life sketching. Starting with the basic principles of color, learn to recognize the color of objects, and improve the ability of color recognition.From contrast tones to gray tones,gradually enhance the ability of color perception, improve their cognition of color language, and lay a good color foundation for the future study of professional courses . The purpose is to improve the creative use of color language.
