刘玉堂,男,1971年出生,中共党员,湖北监利人,理学博士,现任湖南大学设计艺术学院党委书记。环境科学与工程学院硕士、博士生导师,环境生物与控制教育部重点实验室(湖南大学)研究员。1996年6月湖南大学本科毕业留校工作,2002、2008年先后在职攻读硕士、博士学位,2004年12月获工学硕士学位,2011年6月获理学博士学位。2003年4月起先后任湖南大学网络学院副院长、实验室建设与设备处副处长、科研实验与检测中心主任、湖大医院书记、设计艺术学院党委书记。Applied Catalysis B: Environmental、Journal of Hazardous Materials、Chemical Engineering Journal等多种国际SCI杂志审稿人,国家自科基金、省自科基金通讯评审专家,省科技重大专项评审专家。
科研方面主要从事环境光催化材料、能源光催化材料的开发和应用,以及重金属废水与难降解有机废水处理的理论与工程研究,取得多项研究成果。近年来,在Applied Catalysis B: Environmental,Journal of Materials Chemistry A, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of hazardous materials, Chemical Engineering Journal,ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering, Catalysis Science & Technology,Applied Surface Scienc,Chem Cat Chem,Journal of Colloid and Interface Science,Journal of Alloys and Compounds,RSC Advances,Journal of Solid State Chemistry,ACS Nano, Water Research等刊物上发表SCI论文40余篇,多篇论文为ESI “hot paper” “highly cited paper”,相关研究成果已授权专利多项。研究成果获2014年度湖南省自然科学奖一等奖。
