This course focus on guiding students to think about the innovation of UI from the perspective of Design Pattern. It involves a wide variety of case studies on classic User Interface Design Patterns, including discussions on the related cognitive, technical and esthetic issues. Students will learn the analytic framework and innovation methods in User Interface Design, and develop the ability to conceptualize and demonstrate new Design Pattern in User Interface Design practice.
About this course
Case studies on classic User Interface Design Patterns, including Input (such as Form, Process Guide, Content Management, etc.), Navigation (such as Tab, Menu, Category, etc.), Data Presentation (such as Table, List, Grid, etc.), and Specific Scenario UI Design Patterns (such as Social Network, e-Commerce, Game, etc.)
Innovative design practices for new UI Design Patterns, where students will first analyze the challenges and opportunities of old Design Patterns for specific demand scenarios and technical conditions, and then conceptualize innovative design patterns and develop corresponding interactive prototypes.
