Wu Wei
Hunan University Industrial Design 1985 alumni, professor of Hunan University of Technology, doctoral tutor, former dean of the School of Packaging Design Art of Hunan University of Technology, director of Science and Technology Department of Hunan University of Technology, currently the director of Hunan University of Technology, Hunan Province, packaging design Chief Expert of Art Research Base, Deputy Secretary General of Packaging Education Committee of China Packaging Federation, Vice President of Hunan Industrial Design Association, Member of Industrial Design Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society, Young Key Teacher of College of Hunan Province.
Professor Wu Wei studied in 1988-1990, an industrial artisan in Chiba University, Japan, and a Ph.D. in design from the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. In 2004, he received the honorary title of Outstanding Doctoral Graduate of Tsinghua University. In the same year, his doctoral thesis was awarded Tsinghua University by the imagery, which is the first prize of the outstanding doctoral thesis of the university, and the nomination of the outstanding doctoral thesis in 2006.
Professor Wu Wei has achieved fruitful results in the study of traditional Chinese art patterns, artistic symbols and college art education. He has published more than 150 papers with high academic value, which has had a certain impact in the academic world. At the same time, Professor Wu Wei also has published 5 academic monographs and textbooks, and has hosted as well as participated in more than 20 national, provincial, and municipal government-level projects.
