Position: User Interface/User Experience External

Location: BDA, Beijing

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Working closely with a cross-functional team to assess product requirements. The designer will translate requirements into concepts and elegant user design, interaction models, user task flows, screen designs, and UI details that promote ease of use and optimize the user experience for various mobile and internet services
• Organize these design details into a complete user experience design specification to be used as a blueprint for development
• Work closely with user research colleagues to better understand the user by testing the usability of features and conceptual designs
• Build functioning demos for prototyping and presentations (e.g. using Flash)
• Have practical experience employing user centered design methods
• Have a good understanding of executing to Brand to influence a rich user experience for a global market.
• Be self-motivated and able to make logical decisions to ensure the overall success of the project by creating designs that seamlessly address customer and business concerns and objectives
• Keep up-to-date of current design tools, techniques and methodologies
• Be willing to challenge traditional design thinking and look for new and innovative ways to approach design projects and improve streamline the user experience

Position Requirements:

• At least 3 years of appropriate industry experience designing and developing GUIs for mobile applications, web applications and websites
• Master Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or other related discipline
• Solid working experience with design tools including Adobe Creative Suite, Visio, etc.
• Experience with international and localization design considerations
• Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of design and typography principles
• Online portfolio required
• Excellent written and spoken English skills

“Nice to Have” Skills:

• Ability to create personas, profiles, and use case scenarios
• Experience with Flash and Actionscript, Flex a plus and Flash outside the browser (Flash Lite, embedded Flash)
• Experience with the following: AJAX, CSS, XML, DHTML, HTML, and Javascript, Java, Python
• Ability to rapidly prototype designs
