Topic: “The opportunity of Audio in Interaction Design"
Lecturer: Dr. Nick Bryan-Kinns, Reader in Interaction Design, EECS, Vice Dean, Queen Mary University of London
Description: Interaction Design is often described as shaping digital things for people's use. In this talk Nick will discuss the role of sound in meaningful Interaction Design - how experiences with sound can be designed and evaluated. Case studies include: designing systems which tackle social exclusion by providing visually impaired people with access to work; technology which empowers disabled children to play music together; and creativity systems which allow novices to become more musically expressive.
