Course description

This course is an interdisciplinary subject and one of the core issues in urban research and information design research at home and abroad. It mainly includes four aspects: public space theory, environmental behavior, information design, and Wayfinding system. Through this course, students need to understand the basic theoretical knowledge of urban design and information design, understand the elements of the city and the behavioral characteristics of people, and the relationship between people, information and the urban environment, master the urban information design method, and Flexibly use the theoretical knowledge of the above four aspects for urban identification design. Through this course, students learn the basic theories and principles related to urban design and gain professional competence in urban information design. Through systematic teaching and learning, students are familiar with the concept, characteristics, content and classification of urban identification design; basic design elements and methods and techniques; effective and comprehensive understanding and mastering of high generalization ability, modeling ability and architectural ability.Therefore, they can express the urban spirit and urban culture represented by the urban identification system, and make the information carried by the urban identification system reasonably, perfectly, comprehensively, effectively and rapidly spread.
